Local Movers Worthy of Your Trust
Our local moving advantages
The biggest stressors during a move are when your movers are unprofessional, and if you feel like you and the moving crew are either unprepared or aren’t on the same page. Our background-checked team is trained in-house to ensure that everyone comes prepared with the same level of training.
Your personal moving portal ensures that all the information you and the crew need is stored in one place, easily accessible for everyone. You can even communicate with them on moving day, and you’ll be able to use this platform to ask questions of your move coordinator, as well as add or remove moving services if needed. If there are any updates you need to know about for your move in Dallas, they’ll come through in real-time through your personalized moving portal.
Fully trained and background-checked crew members
We invest in our crew members because we know that by properly vetting them, training them, and providing them with all the tools they need for moving day, ultimately, it’s in service of a better local moving experience.
With our 100 years of leveraged local moving experience from our parent company, Suddath®, we are able to provide industry-leading in-house training for our crew members, and make sure that no matter what we’re moving, even if it requires extra care, such as a piano or antiques, they are prepared to carefully and efficiently handle it on moving day.
DFW local moving FAQs
MoveDay has the benefit of 100-years of moving and relocation history courtesy of our parent company, Suddath. That means we have a century of experience in how to keep community trust through quality and value.
We want you to have all the tools you need to decide for yourself if we’re a trustworthy local moving company – that’s why we focus on transparency and removing some of the mystery from the moving experience. When we show up on moving day, you will have already virtually met your crew through your personal moving portal and feel prepared with our expert moving checklists. If you have any additional questions, you’ll have a single-point-of-contact move coordinator.
We invest in our team so we can be sure your move is in good hands-on moving day. All our crew members are background-checked and trained in-house to ensure they are up-to-speed on our moving and packing techniques.
We completely understand needing to move on a specific timeline. There are a lot of factors that go into moving, and we want to make it as stress-free as possible for you. Because of our parent company, Suddath, we have a larger capacity than most local moving companies in Dallas and have the available crew and trucks to allow us to say yes to most moving dates.
To be sure you get your date, when you fill out a local moving quote, you’ll be able to see our calendar, and note if there are any blackout dates. This may happen during peak moving season (May through September), so during that timeframe we recommend reaching out six weeks in advance if you can, to ensure you get the date you want.
The first question you’re likely to have when moving is, “how much will a local move in Dallas cost me?” We want you to be able to answer this question as quickly as possible so you can build your budget. The last thing we want is for you to feel stressed about money and budget on top of your move. If you answer a few simple questions, such as how many tables and chairs you’ll be moving, we can give you a preliminary quote.
From there, we’ll have you perform a virtual survey, which is essentially a FaceTime so we can verify the information, and ensure the crew comes prepared on moving day with any equipment they need, and the proper amount of space in the truck.
Once our team ensure no details were missed, you will be provided with a final quote that is based on your specific needs – any services you may need, such as storage or packing, will be added into that. There are no hidden fees, and you will never feel pressured for additional moving services that you don’t need or that don’t fit in your stated budget.
We have a 150,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Fort Worth that is secure, with 24/7 video monitoring and a state-of-the-art fire suppression system. Because of our focus on flexibility and capacity, we are able to accommodate most storage requests, even if they come up last-minute. We understand that moves don’t always go as planned, so the ability to adapt can be key.
If you need to add storage, you can easily add it in your personal moving portal or ask questions about storage to your MoveDay representative through the portal.
Our warehouse crew is fully trained, and your items will be carefully pad wrapped and stored within a container. We can offer both short- and long-term storage, so whenever you’re ready for your goods to be delivered to you, simply let us know and we will schedule delivery.
Absolutely. Many local moving companies do not train employees on how to properly move instruments, such as a piano, but they are extremely delicate. Not only do you want to protect the outside of a piano, and ensure it arrives in your new home without nicks or scratches, but without damage done to the internal mechanisms as well.
Piano moving is part of our industry-leading in-house training program, so our crews will come fully prepared with everything they need to safely move your instrument and other specialty items to your new home.
